JAMB change of institution and course is a service offered by the Joint admission and matriculation board(JAMB) for the candidates who did not meet up the cut-off marks of their choice of school or course, or want to change their institution from second choice to the first choice. And for those who did not like the institution or course that they have choose before.
What candidates must know before doing change of institution and course?
Alot of candidates have made the mistake of doing Change of Institution and course without having proper knowledge about it.
Candidates who want to do change of institution and course must change to the course that go inline with their subject combinations and also must know the general cut-off marks of the institution they want to change to and also departmental cut-off marks.
Candidates who want to do change of institution and course must do it before the school Post-Utme Screening or examination holds.
How much does it cost to do change of institution and course?
As it is known to everyone that this service is not free so, The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (Jamb) has fixed a sum N2,500 as the amount to process change of Institution and course in Jamb, and since this change can only be process at an accredited Jamb CBT center, you will be charged extra 700 for services rendered.
N3,500 will allow you successfully change your Preferred school of Choice in Jamb without any hindrance.
NOTE: The price can be more than that because some CBT centre can charge more than that.
How can I do change of institution and course?
- Go to JAMB change of course and institution portal at http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/
- Login with your Email and Password
- Click on ‘Registration (2022)’ from the list of services on the left side
- From the drop down; select ‘2022 UTME data correction’ to correct i.e. Course/Institution, Names, Date of Birth, Gender, and State/LGA of Origin
- Proceed to payment

- Kindly Print out your payment Receipt online on your JAMB profile and OTP CODE after making payment for any correction and proceed with it to the JAMB Approved CBT Centers to effect your change.
Where can I do change of institution and course?
JAMB Accredited CBT centers are the only place ALLOWED to effect changes of institution and course for candidates.
How many times can I do change of Institution and course?
You are only allowed to change courses and institutions not more than two times, if you change the first time and experience an issue, you are allowed to change the second time.
