JAMB explains why the results of the 2022 UTME are yet to be released

According to JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the board has yet to release the results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination due to some internal evaluations. He stated that JAMB would not want to reveal results since it has requested reports, particularly on malpractices.

During a meeting of the National Youth Service Corps management and Registrars of Corps Producing Institutions in Nigeria, he revealed this to journalists in Abuja.

According to him, the board has no reason not to release the findings, but it is conducting an internal review to avoid a situation in which certain results are retracted after they have been released. Before disclosing the results, the board must review the report for suspected malpractices.

"And the first day after the results were ready, we scrutinized and discovered that around 40% of the report was missing." So, why release 60% while causing confusion? We have stated that we will not reveal the results until all reports of examination malpractices have been received.

So, when it comes to releasing findings, they will be few in comparison to the enormous quantity we had previously. The results are ready, but we believe we need all of the reports; we now have roughly 70% of the reports updated, but we want 100%.

"The results will be available; for example, I was told that the Saturday exam has been done. The results are in, and when I go to the office today, I'll sign it and send it off."
